Drama Days Summer Studio; The Discovery Center, Binghamton, NY 2007
Welcome! I am a theatre artist who thrives on integrating my two passions: Theatre and Education. I have been lucky enough to wear many hats in the theatre, including that of educator, actor, director, designer, and playwright. I received my B.A. in Theatre Performance and History from the State University of New York at Geneseo, and in 2007, became the co-founder and artistic director of The Charlottesville Women's Theatre Project, a company that seeks to create theatre relevant to the female experience.
I recently earned my M.A. in Theatre Education from Emerson College in Boston, MA, where I have also served as the Graduate Assistant to Dr. Christina Marin and Professor Robbie McCauley. During my time at Emerson, I was fortunate to be the student teacher at Malden High School, serving a culturally diverse urban student body within the Performing Arts and Language Arts departments.
I have worked with ages 3 through 70 in a variety of settings, including The Discovery Center in Binghamton, NY, the South End Settlements in Boston, MA, and the Park Street School in Beacon Hill. Most recently, I have enjoyed acting as the lead instructor for both the Studio Discovery and Studio One programs at Boston Children's Theatre. In addition, I am an active member of the American Alliance for Theatre and Education, and have completed all the requirements for my Massachusetts State Teaching License for Theatre, All Levels.
